A Mother’s Day Story (EP 124)

It may be a long ways away from Mother’s day, but this show couldn’t be saved! Today’s episode of Coffee with the Sarlos addresses the amount of power the position Mother holds in a family and the potential for destruction when that power is not used with an intention to love. The main story featured in the show revolves around a living woman (or mother) who is faced with coping with the loss of her two living sons and her extended family following the death of her husband. At a time where families are told that they should come together, grieve together, stick together, two incredibly hurting sons took their opportunity to unite as brothers against a mother who had abused them for decades.

In the podcast you will hear the devastating realizations this mother comes to about her own behaviours and the kinds of actions her soul sets out for her with the intent to love her sons healthily.

In contrast to this story, the second one illustrates a father who has passed who finally takes responsibility and apologizes to his adult daughter for the passive abuse he allowed in their home through the years.

Anger is a safe emotion- a necessary emotion. And you will hear the tools you can use in order to work through the pain that lies under our anger.
