When hiding is okay…and can save your life

Recognition, identification, self-acceptance and hiding are steps that can aid in dealing with shame. It is not advisable to openly admit your shame to a destructive narcissist, and hiding may be the best strategy. Talk to someone you can trust, begin to continue working with a therapist and/or engage in introspection but do not try to work it out with the narcissist.
